The crew that aided make 3PAR prosperous is back again, launching a server-dependent storage startup for software proprietors.
Nebulon came out of stealth today with Cloud-Defined Storage — a combination of PCI playing cards that go in server slots and provide as storage controllers — and cloud-dependent data management. The startup, dependent in Fremont, Calif., will go to marketplace with OEM associates Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Supermicro.
Nebulon founders Dave Scott (govt chairman), Siamak Nazari (CEO), Craig Nunes (COO) and Sean Etaati (CTO) had been early 3PAR staff members who also joined Hewlett Packard immediately after it obtained 3PAR for $two.35 billion in 2010. Scott led HP’s storage team as SVP and normal manager in advance of stepping down in 2015.
3PAR, which pioneered slim provisioning in storage arrays, grew from a startup in 1999 to a public corporation in 2007. It grew to become portion of HP 3
